Corner Cottage – News 2024!
It has never been a better time to enjoy a short break or a whole week renting Corner Cottage in St. Mawes, on the Roseland Peninsular in South Cornwall.
This traditional cosy classic cob cottage sleeps four/five, is dog friendly, has sea views, an outside patio seating area, a double parking space and is 200 metres up the hill from the village centre and the town quay.
There are excellent shops, pubs and restaurants in the village, as well as its own castle.
There are regular ferries to Falmouth so you can visit the shops and the Martine Museum, and also there’s a small ferry across St. Mawes harbour to Place, from which to access wonderful walks to St. Anthony’s head and a number of beaches.
St. Mawes is only thirty-three miles to St. Ives where you can visit the Tate, and the North coast, and seventeen miles to the cathedral town of Truro for shopping.
Portscatho is just five miles down the road where a short coastal walk will take you to the Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick beach for coffee or lunch.
Fishing and wildlife trips are available from St. Mawes, and there are cruises down the Carrick Roads to enjoy the birdlife and scenery.
St. Just-in-Roseland is just five miles from St Mawes and it has a wonderful Norman church with sub-tropical gardens and a wonderful sand bar and creek with wildlife.
